Agriculture has been the main source of income to Ghana's economy since the birth of the nation and continues to be even now. last Friday thus 1st December 2017 marked the 38th farmers day celebration in Ghana. Taking a critical look at the progress in the patronage of Agricultural activities, it seem that Ghana still need some several number of years in order to fully utilise the agricultural resources for development, few agencies encourage the youth to go in the agricultural sector thus there is poor sensitisation. About 90% of land resources of Ghana support crop farming but about 50% of the farm-able land is under-utilised. Our farmlands are under-utilised, few people engage in farming activities even though there exist modern technologies which ease the indigenous hard ways of farming. Moreover, the recently worsening once are the menace of filling waterlogged land which could be used to cultivate rice and other suitable crops like sugarcane, sorghum, millet etc...

THE TRUE AFRICA- OH WHY? Instead of raising millionaires and billionaires, we have succeeded in producing nillionaires (people with a lot of nothing or people with next to nil). The richest continent in the world is inhabited by the poorest people on the globe. Mediocrity is the new standard of excellence. PHD means "Pull Him Down" or "Pull Her Down". We excel at hammering those who stand out. And we clip the wings of our soaring eagles so they can become chickens like us. This is Africa. It is not the Africa that ought to be. The christian Bible gives us an account of the creation of man and what God expected of man after the seven days excellent creation. According to the Bible, God task man to keep watch of the garden of Eden which was the habit of all kinds of animals and plants. Man's diet came from the plants in the garden. There are factual issues in the Ghanaian Educational System, my special concern is about the employment of senior high school graduates (pupil teachers) to teach basic level kids. I go for employment of senior high school graduates but as teaching assistants not teachers, we should remember that these group of people have not acquired any teacher training and more over how do we assess their content knowledge before employing them for such important teaching roles. It seem to me that this result to the massive failure of Ghanaian candidates in BECE and WASSCE. let's analyse this, considering the growth of a plant, which stage of its growth has the strongest influence on the plants entire life?
